Frost pursed from his stiff lips as his dark eyes glared out below, the wind howling through his metalic suit as he glanced slowly to the left, a civilian dressed in a white trench coat typing away on his computer, the wind searing through his wavy brown hair as the illuminated screen lit up his face and his glasses.
"Remember, you'll have ten minutes to get the info we need, and then get out.." he spoke as he pushed up on his glasses, glancing at the machine before him.
"More than enough time..." his voice was scratched as he gazed out at the view before him, the helicopter making it's approach to one of the near by buildings as they maintained low altitude.
"These arn't simulators you'll be dealing with, these are armed guards... be careful." he warned as he glanced up at Raiden.
"I don't want to spark an international incident." he added with warning as his eyes reflected the dim lighting within the helicopter, Raiden turning to return his glance, and then nodded, bringing up his P90 sub machine gun, pulling back the charging handle with ease, feeding the first round with a metalic "ka-chink".
"Stealth mission... Raiden... remember that." he warned, gazing up from his laptop only to notice that it was empty, the slidding door already open as he nodded objectionably from side to side.
"Take us aft!" he shouted into the mic, the pilot nodding and pulling back on the joystick, turning the helicopter around to avoid detection.
Illuminated vision lit up his path as he shouldered the weapon, taking in several breath as he glanced about the streets. His TFS visor locking in on the NANO signatures throughout the site, zooming in, he noticed their weapons, their equipment, their uniforms.
"Sentinals on scene..." he muttered as he maintained a low profile, fastening the silencer on the weapon with a crack of his wrist.
"Avoid them..." the voice through the com channel stated as Jack glanced about, searching for an atlernative route.
"Fence is electrified... counting seven stationaries, undetermined how many are roaming..." Jack whispered as frost plummed from his mouth as he continued to scan the area from a distance.
"Don't worry about them, avoid them, get inside..." the voice stated firmly.
"On it." he said as he placed his left arm before his visor, lifting the cover to reveal a touchscreen panel, which lit up with a 3D map, giving him various entry points.
He synchronized the data with his visor, which then updated the map to reveal the guards and sentries, representing them with large red dots.
He glanced up, ensuring that he was still in the clear and then back at the screen, selecting options on the touchscreen, and scrolled through until he found system.
He scrolled through the list of available options, and select "SHORT OUT."
He glanced up, using his visor to lock in on a nearby lamp at the building's front, and sure enough, the light began to flicker.
"What the hell?" the guard said as he hoisted his rifle to glance at the light, watching it flicker and brighten repetively, the others gather around to hear it whine as it began to spark.
"POP!"
Glass and sparks fell to the surface as the guards jumped in surprise, the light when out with a white flash, and the guards found themselves in darkness.
"What the hell was that?" one of the voices said as two of the guards left their position.
"Looks like it shorted out..."
Jack gave a weak grin as he closed the cover and hoisted his machine gun to his shoulder, standing on the length of his legs as he leaped from the fire escape to the road, noting that the guards had left their position for him to make entry.
He broke into a run, a maddened rush as he lowered the machine gun to it's position on his right leg, the serpa holster locking it tight as he threw his arms forward and leaped off his legs, the crack of pavement against hardened metalic palms as e lunged forward, throwing his arms back under him as he landed on his feet once more, and repeated, only this time, he lunged even harder, grasping ahold a pipe and initiated a summer sault into the air, landing hard over the fence as he stopped to survey the area, creeping once more int the shadows as he lowered himself, watching as the guards continued to converse through amplified night vision.
"In the perimeter..." He mumbled as he glanced left, and then right, taking in the threat assessment.
"Fancy work you did there, go around to take the back entrance to the roof, there'll be a ladder on your right..."
"Moving out." he whispered as he remained low to the ground, skulking the surface as he approached a door next to a fountain, glancing over his shoulder, he pulled out a heavy bar, trying the knob, and noted it was locked -using the bar, he struck the knob with a force, watching it break away from the door and in his hand. He tossed it over his shoulder into the garden beside him, and pushed the door open, the knob on the other side collapsed to the floor with a metallic crash, then closed the door behind him.
He creeped forward, keeping his hand on his pistol as he sweeped with his legs, avoiding making any sound as he gazed throughout the hall, noting numerous circuit breakers and computer servers.
He approached the lader and began to escalate, moving with endurance as his visor elevated to reveal his pale flesh, his eyes flashing under the moonlight as he exhailed a cloud of frost from his lips.
He forced his right hand forward, and pushed the hatch open with a creak, forcing himself up, he drew his side arm with a snap, a suppressor attached, laser flickering under the dust from the gravel.
His eyes landed on a single guard, who was busy trying to light his cigerette instead of conducting his patrol.
Raiden turned, noting that he was alone, and with that, he depressed the safety catch on the side arm, and with a gentle squeeze, the slide blew back with an explosion of gas that ripped through the suppressor, the guards head lurching forward as his lighter flicked once, igniting the wick, blood pooling around his skull.
Raiden re-holstered the side arm, and immediately got to work, keeping low, he walked around the sun roof and approached the power house, breaking the lock with the bar once more, he tossed the knob to the side, and used his shoulder to force the door open, moonlight pouring into the darkened room as he spotted the security system.
"I'm in." he said as he reached for his pistol belt and pulled out a PDA, pulling out a cable from his accessory pack and inserted the USB cable into the side, and plugged it into the node.
"I'm in aswell..." the voice on the other side of the radio stated as a screen popped up on his PDA.
"I'm hacking into the security system, going to disable their laser sensors for you to get in there quietly... remember, stealth mission, no fireworks..." the voice warned.
"Done." Raiden said as he watched the bar reach 100%.
"I've opened the sun roof for you... use it to gain entry." the voice stated as Raiden knodded, reaching for his belt and pulled out a grapple, latching it onto the safety rail as he acquired some slack.
He glanced down into the darkened complex, and with a thrust of his legs, he lowered himself into the sun roof, and once in range, he released the rest of his rope, watching it land on the surface of the marble floors behind the service desks.
With that, he leaped back on his legs and slid down with a slide in his grip, one hand, his legs interlocked as he his hands provided friction against the rope.
When he touched the surface, he dropped to a squat, pulling out a scout knife with a metalic hiss and cut the link, yanking on the slack to pull the rope down from the D-ring above, resheathing it in a flash.
"I'm inside..." he whispered as he heard footsteps all around.
"I see... you're to enter the Server Room, located in the basement, and upload the virus..." the voice stated.
"On it..." Raiden said as his eye covers folded over his eyes once more, his visor descending over his face, his HUD lighting up to reveal the area in amplified night vision.
He reached for the Serpa holster and pulled out the P90, bringing it to his shoulder as he gazed through the optic, the green dot in the center glaring against his view finder as he remained in a squat, searching for potential threats.
He heard the sqeak of a chair, and turned in a flash, noting one of the guards was relaxing as he folded his arms behind his head, crossing his legs as he leaned back in the chair in boredom, snorring loudly.
Raiden creeped around the service desk as he approached the corner, arching forward, he peeaked out, his pistol in his left hand as he took aim, noting that the guard had his back to him, and with confirmation, he lowered the pistol, creeping forward and towards the sleeping guard, being exceptionally careful not to step on the pornographic magazine on the floor.
He rounded the corner and took the stairs, his pistol in his hand as he propped himself against the wall, taking a deep breath, he placed his right hand on the knob, raising the left, which held the pistol, and aimed it through the gradually growing crack as he pulled the door open, turning slowly until he convinced himself that it was clear.
He entered the room with silence, dim lights landing against the reflective marble flooring as he gazed upon the many desks and security centers.
"This could be a trap, you know..." Raiden whispered as he moved with a faster pace, keeping in mind the time limit.
"It might be... it was a unaminous tip... came from the resistance..." the voice stated.
"The Resistance?" Jack asked as he raised the pistol once more, scanning the desks, which were littered with papers.
"They operate somewhere in Amsterdamn, they gave us this information." the voice replied with a sarcastic tone.
"Do you trust everyone that gives you unaminous tips?" Raiden asked as he lowered the weapon, approaching the server room.
"I cross reference the information with what was fact, and it all checked out. -It's right through that door, Jack." he added suddenly.
Jack opened the door slowly, raising the pistol, he entered with haste, turning left, aiming -turned right, aimed, his foot steps sweeping as he cleared the room in seconds, noting numerous server blocks with flickering lights, wires, cable bundles lining the floors.
"Patch me into their network, let's see if this virus works..." he directed.
Jack did as he was told, pulling out his PDA, he holstered the pistol and plugged the USB drive into the port, gaining entry to the system as his partner began to work.
"Hmm... that's odd..." the voice stated.
"What?" Jack asked as he gazed around.
"The virus... it... won't upload..."
It was then that there was a resounding crash, computers all around him shut down with a flash, and before he knew it, the lights when shut off.
In a nonehesitated maneuver, Raiden pulled forth his P90, laser and flashlight on as he aimed to the door, the alarm sounding like mad as bells rang throughout the building.
"Fuck..." Raiden hissed as he yanked the cable from the port.
"Jack...!"
"-I know!" he shouted as he ran for the door, shouldering the weapon as he lunged out his right leg, striking the frame with a crack, sending the door open as it crashed against the wall, aiming the weapon with a flash as he ran down the isle.
"They're coming... get out of there! -FAST!" he ordered.
"On my way!" Jack screamed as he ran forward with a blur, the lights fading in and out as he ran with his heart racing, his hands cold as he continued to grasp the weapon.
He was almost to the door, when it was kicked upon with a crash, security responders pouring in the room with a shotgun at point, the others wielding rifles and submachine guns to their shoulders as they took aim at Raiden, who, behind his visor, let out a chuckle as he depressed the safety latch on the machine gun.
He opened fire in an instant, the security responders returning fire without even screaming for him to drop his weapon, sparks and debris from the columns exploding into a thick cloud of dust as Jack's laser flickered under the obstruction, tapping the trigger as his TSF locked in on the hostiles, making the right adjustments, he dove forward, holding back the trigger as shell casings errupted from the right side of his weapon, rolling on the flooring as he made a slide, rounds bursting through their chests as they sailed back against the wall with a crack, weapons clattering along the flooring as their bodies dropped with full weight, lifeless, and bleeding.
Jack rushed forward, throwing open the door as he drew his pistol with a flash, taking aim as he ran up the stairs, footsteps all around him as he heard their voices... heard their heartbeats, their movements, their fears, and their thoughts.
He squeezed the trigger, the guard with the shotgun falling on his back as the round exploded through the base of his skull, landing on the face of his partner as Jack rushed forward, the hiss of metal and blade as he drew the short sword in a flash, thrusting it into the chest of the other, and dragging upwards -forming a vertical laceration along his gut; he turned in a flash and struck the guard in the throat with his left elbow, sending him to the stairs choking, blood foaming from his mouth as he retracted the short sword in an instant, blood running down the soldier's chest as he left him there to die. Charging through the door, he aimed the pistol forward and fired multiple shots in the guards direction, who opened fire upon site, sparks raining in all directions as they splashed upon the floor, illuminating what appeared to be a ninja as he dove for cover, rolling on his back as he placed his hand on his high frequency blade, drawing it forward as he holstered the pistol, flipping his wrist in the manner of spider man, and fired a graple barb into the wall far to his left, which forced him forward as the cable began to retract, he found himself dodging bullets by the milimeter, rounds hissing by his ears as he rolled, the metalic hiss as his blade cut through the cable, and with a thrust of his legs, he leaped off the wall, rolling forward in mid air as the security officers adjusted their aim, only for the blure of razor steel to slice clean through their chests. It happened in a flash, the screaming, the shots, the blood that spurted from their fingers as they tried to apply pressure to their wounds, dropping to the floor with a crash as the ninja landed on his feet, squated, and then leaped out the main lobby door in a flash, reflective glass following his figure through the hole as he rolled on his back, white blood leaking from his chest plate as he gaze up with beastly eyes, the cocking of guns all around him as he continued to grasp his sword.
"Show's over, creep!" the officers shouted as he took single step forward.
Raiden glanced up with bitter distaste, a gun was aimed between his eyes as he tightened his grip on the sword, the P90 slung to his back, the short sword still in it's sheath.
He was lined with metal, his visor illuminated underneath by two HUD projectors which gave off faint red lights.
They were hesitant, they were afraid, he could smell it, taste it... hear it... it happened before they could even pull their triggers, he lunged out his left hand and the knife was driven right through the soldier's calf, his leg falling to support his weight, he crashed to the pavement with a blur, the metalic arm wrapped around his throat and under his right arm as he threw the soldiers weapon away with a flick of his wrist, the P-90 beside his face as he utilized the guard as a hostage, the others seperated in hesitation as they stepped away to give them space, Raiden glaring down at them as his eyes danced with fire, the P90 firm in his grasp as he began to walk down the stone steps, hearing the foot steps of others as they closed in from the rear, the cocking of more weapons, the futile scent of battle reigning over him...
It would take one flick of his finger, one twitch to kill one man... one more to add to his outstanding record, one more to prove to man kind that he was nothing more than a beast...
He watched as they slowly followed, carefully planned foot work was used, weapons shouldered as they aimed down their iron sites. In the ambient, he could hear the sirens of police, second responders to the break in.
He glanced over his shoulder, spotting his route to escape, and in an instant, he reached for his pistol belt, and pulled the pin on a smoke grenade, throwing it to the surface as it bounced and leaped up, the others opening fire as the grenade flashed, releasing it's smoke containts as it flooded the area with a blinding veil of gray smoke, the guards coughing as they continued to fire, rounds whistling through his ears as he weaved and dodged, bending down on his legs, and leaped over the fence, rolling on his back to break the fall, and rounded the corner.
"Get me out of here!" he shouted into the radio as he retreated to the allies, depressing the pannels on his submachine gun, raising the accessory pad, and pulled it up, using his fingers to depress a single pad and pried the transparant magazine from the top, slapping in another, and forced the accessory rail down on top of it. He glanced around the corners as spot lights began to line the alley, police cars with their lights flashing driving by slowly in search for the mysterious figure that had attacked the premises.
"I'll extract you at the harbor... get there..."
Jack didn't respond, instead -he observed the slowly moving police cruiser as it made it's way up the road, another pulling just infront of the gates as they were opened, followed by several ambulences.
"Why didn't the virus upload?" Jack asked as he lowered the machine gun, observing the scene through the alley.
"There was fire-wall, a fail safe. Apparently, if you try to access it without the clearance code, it sets off the alarm... we'll need to plan this better next time..." the voice stated.
"You owe me..." Jack said as he climbed aboard the helicopter, his visor retracting to reveal his face once more, the lights on his HUD projectors dimming to reveal his eyes.
"I'm sorry..." the man said as he placed a hand on Jack's shoulder.
"Next time, we'll be ready..." he said as he leaned back in his seat, giving the thumbs up to the pilot as the wind surged through the cabin, Jack forcing the door closed as the chill bit into his flesh.
"What do you mean, next time?" Jack asked as he glanced up at the young man.
"You'll have help." he said.
"From who?" Jack asked firmly.
"Why don't you ask them? -When you get to Amsterdamn."
"Remember, you'll have ten minutes to get the info we need, and then get out.." he spoke as he pushed up on his glasses, glancing at the machine before him.

"It's the nature of monsters... to destroy their creators..."
