Here's a little dictionary of sorts that I've compiled to help you get an idea of what some of the terms we use around here mean, in case you weren't sure. It is still in progress. Information for the glossary can be written by whoever feels like contributing.

- Median - The Median is unknown to most people, both real world and Net. It is a place between the Net and the real world, something of an alternate plane in which both Net citizens and real world residents can exist. Currently, it is only a speculated myth, and no one knows whether it exists or not.
N
- Net :: The Net is the new digital world that most of earth's occupants inhabit. There are no real physical boundaries, diseases, or ailments, and feelings are all projected by the net in response to the synapses programmed as a part of each individual. Once you have uploaded, there is no known way to leave the Net.

- Resistance :: The Resistance is a small group of individuals who have refused to upload to the Net, and are fugitives from the Net government. They are lead by Keenan Nynhoryn.
S
- Sentinels :: Sentinels are the real world eyes and ears of the Net.While the fact that Sentinels have Net links, in the form of implants [usually in the left shoulder, though sometimes in other positions], the exact nature of them is not known to the public. They are detectable by a simple supermarket barcode scanner, but you need to know what you're looking for [and have the physical body to wield said scanner].
Each Sentinel's implant has a unique, 12 digit code that allows them to be recognised by the Net's system. The Net is the only entity that knows every single Sentinel code. Net members and Sentinels may request information about who has accessed the link via their implant, but they will only be told name and rank - never the code. Each Sentinel knows their own code, but they are instructed to never tell more than a maximum of three people. These codes are a highly guarded secret, and even the Sentinels have a policy of never interrogating another for their code, even if they are a captured enemy.
Why are they so important, you ask? Well, they give you a real-time exact location, to the millimetre, of the implant. It cannot relay whether it is still implanted in a human body, but if it is, you could potentially hack into a satellite and see the Sentinel in question
