1. This is an advanced roleplay (we think, although we're not much for labels). That means we aim for 300 + words per post. That’s really not that much, only a good paragraph or two. If you can't manage 300 words, we're not going to throw you off the site, that's just what we aim for. Additionally, we roleplay in third person.
2. Use some sort of spell check function. If you don’t, we will know. We understand typos every now and then, but that’s what spell check is for, and if you repeatedly post things full of hideous destruction of the English language, we will likely hit you with a fly swatter. Or warn you. Maybe both.
3. Make sure you understand the plot. That is, if you make your Net character pregnant with quadruplets or dying of cancer, we'll know you didn't really get it.
4. Try to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Did we mention this? It’s understandable to make mistakes, but that’s what spell-check is for. Use it! The first half of the access code is 222.
5. Swearing is permissible, as long as you don’t do it every other word.
6. There shall be no roleplaying of sexual encounters on the boards. You can take it to the PM’s, but in the thread leading up to it, please fade to black before it goes beyond taking clothes off. (On that note, you can say that clothes are off, but do us all a favor and fade to black before you start describing body parts. ).
7. When it comes to your profile, we like you to have something telling us about your character's name in your signature, at least. If you want, you can go by you own screen name, just as long as we have some way to determine what character you play just by looking at your profile. Signature images should be no wider than 600 and no taller than 250 pixels. We prefer them to be smaller than the maximum sizes, but that's as far as you can go in each direction. We have an automatic image resize code that will make sure your images don't stretch the forum, so if you don't want them scaled, make them smaller. The second half of the access code is 721.
8. Don't hijack other people's threads. Meaning, if it's not tagged "open", double check before you join it, ESPECIALLY if it's tagged for someone who's not you.
